Johnny Mac was great theater , definitely could lose his shit. But he had a short memory , his net play was elite incredible hands !!!!!!!!

men's tennis at the cross roads- Nadal is 36, Nole 35, Fed kaput. Need new young guns to carry the baton

NIck had a great season has come along way...

He obviously shouldn't have been a larger then 1 to 4 favorite in that match though...Kyrgrios isn't a great returner and when Karen is on with her(;)) serve(which he was tonight) that match is just a toss up.

Nick let the pressure get to him in the 1st and 3rd sets letting Karen break him at 5-6(that shouldn't happen)

Guy is good for tennis and now is also starting to put up results.

I agree that he has grown as a player this season, he is still evolving and getting better and he's an interesting character so from that aspect he brings added attention to the sport

But LOLLLLLL at this meltdown, ngl I absolutely LOOOOVVVE watching him lose his shit here

A little off topic...but still can't believe Joker is letting all these majors slide through his fingers. This is another major he probably wins rather easily.....

These young guys still simply don't have it...hell it took everything to just get what is left of Nadal's injuried body out of this tourney on a god damn hard court.(not like this is clay)

If Federer can come back and even be 80 percent of what he was...and Joker keeps missing majors, Fed might still have another major in him at over 40 years of age.

10 majors is A LOT. Of actives who is 4th right now? Murray and Stan at 3? Not sure he will be a better player than Murray. Though maybe Murray has 10 if not for injury and a larger factor of era played...

only 19. Has game for clay and HC. And entering at the ideal time- no fed. Nole 35, Nadal 36, geriatrics on their way out. Who is out there?

He had match point on serve in that epic match at Wimbledon 5th set Vs Nole, remember that one? how many has that guy blown?

at 40 that dude beats 90% of the field comfortably ...using a racket off a Walmart shelf to boot.............. okay the racket stuff is a stretch lol

sure did. What's not to like about this kid? he will get stronger, only 19. He's like a 25 yr old in a 19 yr old's body, dude is 6'. That forehand is vicious . Super aggressive. Only 7 players have won a major before the age of 20-last guy to do it? his countrymen, Nadal

Khanchanov VS Ruud
Alcaraz Vs Tiafoe

wow, times have changed...

Carlos taking the hard path---3, 5 setters in a row. But he is there in a grand slam final.

I believe if he wins the US Open tomorrow he becomes the first teenage #1 player(male) ever---though rankings are skewed because no points award for Wimbledon and Novak doing what he is doing. But still, he will be remembered for that long after the other stuff is forgotten.

Fuck, this kid is the real deal.

That was very impressive . Mentally and physically beyond his years.

How cool was that kid in the 5th set? stadium understandably rooting hard for the American..... didnt faze him . Loses that 4th set, momentum ready to switch, but ya just felt this kid aint losing this match--only 5 UE in that 5th set, was a mini-Nole back there- great court coverage (uncanny similarity to Nole), everything was coming back, haha!! Tiafoe in that 5th was like 'what do i gotta do to win a fuckin point? !'

i'd say the missing part is the serve, so young will get better.

No Fed, and when he's 21 yrs old likely no Nole/ Nadal .

gotta close tomorrow. He's a bigger fav than he was vs Tiafoe...........VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!

how about the reaction after the point, haha. Tiafoe, given his story is an easy guy to root for. Was a great match!
